JASON L. MARTIN, MD
Dr. Jason Martin is the founder/owner of Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists (GPS) and remains active in patient care. Dr. Martin started Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists in 2015. Originally from Houston, Texas he graduated from the University of Texas in 2002 with a degree in Microbiology. He attended St. George’s University School of Medicine from 2003-2007, then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at UTMB Galveston from 2007-2010, where he was awarded the Resident of the Year in 2010. In 2010, he started with Seton Adult Medical Services (SAIMS) as a Hospitalist and has now transitioned to Sound Physicians. After serving as the Chief Hospitalist for several years he has recently taken on the role of Chief Medical Officer for Ascension Medical Center Main. Dr. Martin and GPS are focused on improving quality, patient experience, and reducing the cost of care. Our goal is to help patients make a smooth transition from the hospital to their next level of care.

I have been practicing medicine since 2011, after finishing my training at Internal Medicine Residency Program, UTSW – Austin. I work as a hospitalist at Seton Williamson and also see patients at skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. I feel blessed to be a physician, since this allows me to take care of patients and help not only sick people, but also to make a positive impact on the lives of their loved ones. I feel gratified and rewarded each day at my job when I can make a patient feel better and am able to comfort their family as well.

KHRIS RAMDEEN, MD
I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and I am also a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer. The goal of my private concierge practice is to bridge medicine with fitness. This holistic approach allows me to approach patient care from a nutrition, fitness and biochemical standpoint. I love working in all areas of medicine including private practice and inpatient hospitalist medicine. I have also held medical directorships in a nursing home and a hospice facility. Furthermore, I have extensive experience working with patients in the Rehab and Long Term Acute Care settings as well. My main hobby is weight lifting and fitness training.

RICARDO CRUZ, DO
Dr. Cruz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center Fort Worth, Texas doctor of Osteopathy August 1992 to June 1996. He then completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals Galveston, Texas Internal Medicine July 1996 to June 1999.

ANEESH GEORGE, MD
Dr. Aneesh George is an Internist/Hospitalist at the Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas. Dr. George earned his medical degree from the University of Calicut, Kerala in India. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Residency Program at Seton in Austin,TX. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. George was awarded the most valuable Physician of the year in 2015 at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center. He also published an article in the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine, a case of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in 2012.

RAEEDA GHEEWALA, MD
Dr. Gheewala is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She attended medical school at Tuffs University School of Medicine, then completed residency at Tuffs Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Gheewala is a Hospitalist at Seton Medical Center Austin.

NEELIMA GOWRIGARI, MD
Dr. Gowrigari is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She attended Kurnol Medical College, then completed residency at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, Texas. Dr. Gowrigari is a Hospitalist at Seton Northwest Hospital.”I believe staying healthy is the biggest treasure anyone can have. However, the journey of life can take a toll on our bodies and could compromise our health. As a physician, my goal is to help you regain your most valuable possession – your health. I enjoy the hot weather and the diversity of events that Austin offers. I frequently try to explore ‘beautiful Austin’ with my husband and young daughter. I also enjoy watching movies of various regions, as they give me insight to different cultures.”

MICHAEL GUTIERREZ, MD
Michael Gutierrez, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Gutierrez received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Pepperdine University and his medical doctorate from The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. “I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dog named Daisy. I love the outdoors, traveling, reading about history, exercising and rooting for the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bears and UT Longhorns. I consider myself family-oriented, and I love spending time with friends.” Dr. Gutierrez is a Hospitalist at Seton Medical Center Austin.

Dr. Jackson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He attended medical school at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, then completed his residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Dr. Michael Park is board certified in internal medicine and grew up in New York City. His partner and he moved to Austin, TX in 2020 and joined the hospitalist team at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. He has since transitioned to locum tenens hospitalist work as well as working with GPS. He enjoys traveling, scuba diving, snowboarding, and hiking.

ZAHIR MOMIN, MD
Zahir Momin, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been in health care for 23 years, having completed his residency in New Rochelle, New York. In his spare time, he enjoys cricket and is very interested in American History. He and his team see patients in your facility and would love an opportunity to assist in your care. SCOTT TOLAN, MD
Dr. Tolan is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He attended medical school at the University of Houston, then completed his residency at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. “For some time, medicine has been a calling, a vocation more than a profession. It is a chance to unite my gifts and desire to care for people with one of the world’s most pressing needs. I am grateful for the training and daily opportunities to improve the lives of both the patient and the family, and it is a privilege to be part of the healing and welfare of a community. I am a Texas native from San Antonio and am happy to be back in the state. Mangesh Bhatta, MD
Mangesh Bhatta, M.D. I have been boarded in Internal Medicine since 2015 (ABIM). I completed my Internship/Residency in 2015 from New York Methodist Hospital (now, New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital). I finished my medical studies from Ross University School of Medicine (2012). I have been practicing as a hospitalist since 2015.

Albert Arthur, MD
I am board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. I obtained my medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed my residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). I worked as a hospitalist at Baylor Scott and White (Waco, TX) after residency and then moved to Pflugerville to work with Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and went on to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where I worked as a registered nurse for 3 years.

Suma Gowda, MD
I have been practicing as a Hospitalist/Internal Medicine for the past 20 plus years and in Post acute care facilities for the past 2 years. I am team-oriented with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. I practice evidence-based medicine and I believe that a positive, supportive and collaborative work environment is critical to ensuring a high quality patient experience. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, listening to music, gardening and spending time with my family and friends.

Mauricio Sardan, MD
Dr. Sardan is originally from Bolivia and graduated from Internal medicine residency in New York at St. Barnabas Hospital in 2008. Dr. Sardan is an Internal medicine board certified physician and has been working as Hospitalist his entire career with experience on post-acute care from Skilled Nurse Facilities, Inpatient Rehabilitation and Long-term Acute Care Hospitals. Dr. Sardan has a passion for Hospital medicine and coordination of care. He has been involved in multiple programs that improved transition of patients from the hospital to their next level of care. He has had leadership roles locally and regionally where preventing readmissions, management of chronic diseases and control on cost of care were the focus. Dr. Sardan is married with 3 children, enjoys the outdoors, traveling and gravel biking

Amita Aghera received her RN from the Amarillo College at Amarillo in 2004 and BSN from the University of Kansas in 2008. She gained experience in the medical-surgical, critical care and telemetry units. She worked as a hospital supervisor/chart nurse before returning to school to obtain her MSN. She graduated in 2017 from the University of Chamberlain College of Nursing with board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about providing excellent care for all people. Amita values giving individualized, evidence-based, and quality care to her patients. She is a member of AANP. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, watching TV and spending time with her family and friends.

I am a board certified Physician Assistant. I received my Masters of Physician Assistant studies degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. I also have Masters in chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ and did pharmaceutical research prior to going into PA school. I have enjoyed the opportunities to observe the diversity of medicine from bench research to clinical medicine. I am thrilled to be working as internal medicine PA in an acute care hospital. I am a member of AAPA. When I am not with patients, I enjoy spending time with my family, sewing and painting.

ZARINTAJ ALI (GINA), AGACNP-BC, ACNP-AG
Zarintaj Ali (Gina), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, nationally certified from ANCC and AACN, Texas Board Licensure, started her nursing career as Licensed Vocational Nurse in 2005, bridged to Associate degree in nursing, then baccalaureate, and Master’s Degree in Nursing, worked as Oncology Nurse, critical care nurse and float pool, received experience in all specialty departments of medical field. She believes in Patient-Centered Care, integrates evidenced-based practice in the treatment, compassion and provides quality care to the patients. In the spare times, she likes to spend times with family, exercise, and above all shopping.

JEREMY NELSON, APRN, ACNP-BC
Jeremy earned a Master of Science degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2008 from the University of Texas-Health Science Center in Houston, and has been working in ICU settings with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians since. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, he worked as a bedside nurse in a Medical ICU at a large hospital in the Houston Medical Center for 5 years, and spent 4 years as an enlisted member of the US Air Force. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and 2 (crazy!) cats, as well as cycling, and occasionally dabbling in brewing beer.

ANU ROSE ANTONY, DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Anu Rose Antony FNP-C, holds a Master’s degree in Nursing from the Texas State University and is currently working as a nurse practitioner at Geriatric Post Acute care specialist. Her clinic of practice is at Pflugerville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Anu has more than 15 years of nursing experience, including orthopedics, medical surgical, oncology and dialysis. She is also certified in Orthopedic and Medical Surgical Nursing. Anu is a strong advocate for compassionate patient care and has a passion for Geriatric population. Before joining GPS, Anu worked as an NP at the Pain Specialists of Austin, Killeen and has served patients with chronic pain. Anu is also an active member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Originally from India, Anu and her family migrated to the United States in 2004. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her loving husband Vince and their two sons Steven and Andrew.

I am Januka Banjara from Kathmandu, Nepal. I graduated on 2013 from Kathmandu University and started my Nursing career. I started working as RN in US from December 2015.
I worked as charge nurse in Pflugerville nursing home and rehab center from December 2015-March 2020, worked as staff nurse in St. David’s North Austin medical center from June 2016-December 2019.
Currently I am working as charge nurse in Austin State hospital since November 2019. I am the eldest 3 siblings, daughter, mother of 2 kids, wife and sister in law.
Growing up in the family with lots of medical conditions, I decided to work in medical field and serve people around. I want to make changes in the people life with positive health outcomes and increase their desire to live more.
Other than that, I like to spent time with my kids and family, go outing with friends and enjoy my time.

I am an Acute Geriatric Adult Care Nurse practitioner- Board certified. I completed my Masters in Nursing at Maryville University in 2018. I received my BSN degree in the Philippines in 1989 where I worked for three years and relocated here in the US in 1993. Ever since then I had been working mostly in the Intensive care Unit. I am a member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. I enjoy traveling with family and friends as well as home decorating and cooking. I am very passionate about nursing and decided to pursue my professional career with the belief that I could continue delivering a holistic and patient-centered care to every patient.

Dewanna Brandon, FNP-C
Dewanna Brandon, MSN-FNP-C, is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with GPS. She is a family nurse practitioner with 20 years of healthcare experience. She began her career as a vocational nurse and then furthered her nursing education with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Temple College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner education and licensure, both at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.
Dewanna’s professional experience ranges from emergency department and trauma to dialysis, urology and rehabilitation centers.
She brought her broad nursing experience to GPS and works under the supervision of Dr. David Boltan in the ClearSky Health Rehabilitation center.
When Dewanna is not caring for patients, she cares for her children and supports them at their many sports activities.

Laura Brynestad, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX in 2006. She has worked as a critical care RN for 7 years in both Medical/Surgical ICUs and Coronary Care Units. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2013. Laura is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has 8 years of experience in Pain Management and has also worked as a nurse practitioner in Hospital Medicine and Cardiovascular Surgery.
Laura finds it a privilege to get to know her patients and walk them through chronic illnesses by providing education and a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. Laura’s goal is to help patients improve their quality of life and functionality.
Laura moved to the Austin area in 2015 and resides in Georgetown with her husband and three boys. She enjoys her family time as well as traveling, live music, and interior decorating.

Jo Ann Cardenas, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC
Jo Ann Cardenas has over 20 years of experience as an Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Before joining Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists, Jo Ann practiced was concentrated in hospice/palliative care and adult/geriatric medicine. Jo Ann’s focus is on compassionate patient-centered care and enhancing the quality of life for her patients.
She received her Master’s in Nursing from UT Health Science Center at Houston. Jo Ann is a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.

Sukyong Chun, FNP-BC
Sukyong Chun is a BSN prepared Board Certified Registered Nurse who worked at Baylor Scott &White Hospital for 8 years as an acute care nurse. She got her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2013 at Austin Community College (ACC) and BSN degree in 2015 at Texas A&M University. She also got her degree in Statistics from Sungshin Women’s University prior to nursing.
In 2021, after she graduated from Texas A&M University with MSN degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked as an NP at CVS minute clinic COVID testing center to serve the need of the community. She joined GPS in April, 2022 to serve the geriatric population in the community.
She was born and raised in South Korea. She is married to her husband of 16 years and has a 12 year old daughter. She and her family enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with friends and families when they have spare time.

SHERRI COOK-ROUSEY, ACNPC-AG
Sherri Cook-Rousey is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has beenpracticing since 2015. She has experience in skilled nursing, in-patient rehab and is currently practicing at a long-term acute care hospital. Sherri has over 10 years of nursing experience as an ICU nurse. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Temple College, Temple Texas, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington Texas and her Masters in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock Texas.
Sherri is a member of several professional organizations including American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Austin Area Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau (Honor Society of Nursing). She enjoys being a mentor/preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students. When she is not working, Sherri enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, reading, yoga and travel.

Leanne Cowles, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Leanne Cowles is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with six years of
experience as a cardiovascular, stroke certified registered nurse at Dell Seton Medical Center and The Heart Hospital of Austin. She graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2022 and shortly after joined GPS as an advanced practice provider specializing in Hospital Internal Medicine at a long term acute care facility providing patient-centered care and managing a variety of complex medical conditions. She loves her husband, kids, cooking, doting on her staffies, and planning epic adventures.

Marc Duke, APRN, AGCNS-BC
Marc Duke is a board certified Clinical Nurse Specialists from the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, specializing in acute care and geriatrics. Prior to his graduation in 2021 from UT Austin, Marc worked in as educator in a variety of settings and in emergency medicine as EMT with San Marcos Hays Co EMS. Through his personal and professional experience Marc has witnessed first hand the gaps in chain of care in medical practice. Marc chose to work in the LTACH/Acute Care setting to help bridge the gaps in care created as patients transition through the hospital systems. Using evidence-based practice, Marc helps connect patients with the highest quality of care to achieve the highest quality outcomes. Marc continues to support the academic community by participating in ongoing hospital-based research endeavors with the University of Texas at Austin.

Samantha Eshelman, PA-C
Samantha graduated from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation, she spent 5 years working in outpatient psychiatry in Austin, TX before joining Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists. Prior to becoming a certified physician assistant, she worked in organ and tissue donation, dialysis, and phlebotomy. She has always been passionate about medicine and helping others. When not working, you can find her exploring new places to eat and drink with her family and adorable pup, traveling, watching sports, and connecting with friends.

Kerry Evans, APRN, ACNPC-AG
Kerry Evans is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for GPS Servicing, specializing in LTAC and rehabilitative patient care. She is a highly skilled Registered Nurse and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, demonstrating a depth of knowledge and breadth of experience in disease prevention and the management of various complex and concomitant health problems for over 30 years. She is committed to providing comprehensive health care to chronically, acutely, or critically ill adults through the development of diagnoses and effective treatment regimens and clinical practices. Specialties include training and certifications in areas such as cardiac patient care, CABG, neurosurgery, trauma, dialysis, chemotherapy, and oncology. Demonstrating sound clinical judgment and an ability to develop patient-centered care while providing a full range of practice care for in-hospital and outpatient treatments.

Haley Everett-Walker, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Haley has worked in the medical field over 10 years, first as an ICU nurse, and now as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Her passion has always been patient care. She is hard-working, goal-oriented, motivated, committed, and has outstanding patient satisfaction ratings. Above all, she values teamwork which is vital in providing the highest quality patient-centered care.

Laurie Ferraro, APRN, GNP-BC
Laurie Ferraro is a Board-Certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in long term care and post-acute care. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at D’Youville University in Buffalo, New York and then earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She holds a board certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a gerontological nurse practitioner.

Stephanie Garcia, APRN, AGPCNP-C
Stephanie Garcia is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with a background in ICU and med-surg nursing including orthopedics, oncology, and neurology. My years away from loved ones during military life gave me a deep appreciation for being present in life’s most meaningful moments, which now drives my commitment to showing up fully for my patients. I hope to provide excellent, evidence-based care to older adults—honoring their stories, learning from their history, and supporting them through vulnerable times. I’m committed to ongoing learning and improving the care I deliver. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, taking road trips, relaxing by the river, trying new food, catching a good movie, and hanging out with my dog, Rocco.

Faith Idehen is a Family Nurse Practitioner with GPS, who completed her education at University of Texas at Arlington. She has been working in healthcare for the past 9 years. She is dedicated to providing compassionate and individualized care.

Caroline Igharoro, APRN, AGACNPC-BC
Caroline Igharoro is a board certified nurse practitioner in Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AGACNP-BC). She began her journey in nursing profession at the university of Texas at Arlington where she earned Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN). She started work immediately after graduation as RN in a Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Dallas in the Telemetry acute care unit with a step down section caring for adult Veterans. She worked couple of years as RN then went back to earn her post graduate degree in Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from University of Texas at Arlington. She is now an Internal Medicine Nurse practitioner in Geriatric Post Acute Care Hospital in Austin Texas.
Her focus is to provide a more advance level of care to all her adult patients, while collaborating with physicians to bridge the gap in patient care. she is involved in providing individualized patient care in diagnosing, treatment, plan of care, patient education and involvement in the disease process and healing.
Caroline Igharoro has been practicing in nursing profession for 9 years caring for adult patients. She loves to travel and to discover new things.

Emily Jackson, APRN, FNP-BC
Emily is a board certified family nurse practitioner who graduated with honors from Houston Baptist University in 2021. She attended UT Health San Antonio for her BSN and graduated in 2009 as a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of nursing. She has worked in a wide array of specialties throughout her career which has enabled her to gain valuable experience and expertise to care for her patients. When she is not working, Emily spends most of her time at various sporting events for her children.

Christine Deogracias joined Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists in 2016. She earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing at Walden University in 2015. She has wored at Cleveland Clinic Medical Intensive Care Unit and Clinical Decision Unit. She has also worked at Seton Medical Center Williamson in the Intensive Care Unit before transitioning to a family nurse practitioner. She is board-certified by American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is currently serving on the board of Advance Practice Nurses as Social Media Coordinator. During her free time, she enjoys taking walks with her energetic Jack Russell Terrier at Lake Pflugerville.

Lindsey grew up in Fort Worth, (TX) where she attended Texas Christian University (or TCU). After college, she moved to Houston to work in the Texas Medical Center. It was there that she met her husband. They moved to San Diego for a few years but eventually made their way back to Texas to start a family. They have settled in the Austin area with their 2 young children. In her free time, she enjoys tennis, golf, jogging & traveling.

Cynthia Lewis, APRN, FNP-C
Cynthia, board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, obtained her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin; She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Science from the University of Southern California. Since becoming a Registered Nurse in 2010, she has worked extensively in critical care, as well as provided psychiatric healthcare services for Austin’s underserved. A certified yoga instructor, Cynthia has studied with internationally renowned yoga teachers. Practicing meditation, tending to her many plants, and spending time with her family are a few of her favorite pasttimes.

Laura Martinez-Colon, APRN, AGCNS-BC
Laura Martínez Colón is a board certified Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist. She obtained her Master’s degree of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. Laura has more than 15 years of nursing experience, her experience includes Oncology, medical/ surgical, internal medicine and pain management. She is passionate about providing excellent care to all her patients. In her free time Laura enjoys running, reading books, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Donna Prokop-Fettig, PA-C
Donna Prokop-Fettig PA-C graduated from Midwestern University Illinois with her Master’s Medical Science in 2008. She then relocated to the beautiful state of Texas in 2008, where she worked in Allergy & Asthma and then Internal Medicine. She has specialized in Post-Acute Care since 2011 and has a love for Geriatric and Palliative care medicine. She truly enjoys helping her patients and their families focus on what quality of life measures mean the most to them and assists them in their journey of improving their health with these merits in mind. She loves to serve her patients and goes beyond and above to treat the whole person in both medicinal and homeopathic approaches. Donna is married to her high school sweetheart, Keith, for over 20 years and they have 3 wonderful children. She adores family time and watching their kids play sports, taking walks, and mini outdoor adventures.

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland in Baltimore (Go Terrapins!). Later I received my Master’s Degree from Texas Women’s University in Denton. I have been blessed to practice nursing in a variety of settings and hold a special passion continuity of care and access to care for the underinsured. I am the daughter of two teachers and have a life long curiosity for learning and advocacy. In my down time, I enjoy baking and letting my English Bulldog, Rosie, take me for walks.

Sydney Schuetze, APRN, AGCNS-BC
Sydney is a board-certified Adult-Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist who earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.
Before joining GPS, Sydney gained valuable clinical experience in Neuro/Ortho and Cardiac Postoperative Care. She is especially committed to helping individuals with chronic conditions maintain quality of life through a holistic, person-centered approach.
Outside of work, Sydney enjoys spending time with her family and two bunnies, as well as exploring both digital and traditional painting. She’s also a fan of live music and local art events.

Angela Sedlacek, APRN, AGACNP
Angela Sedlacek obtained her master’s degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2021 and is board certified through the ANCC. She has 22 years of experience as a bedside nurse working in all aspects of acute care including time in telemetry and critical care step-down units. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in microbiology and nursing. In her free time, Angela likes traveling, gardening, exercising and spending time with her son.

Mary Blackburn, APRN, AGCNS-BC
Mary Blackburn is a two-time graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, having obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2000. She has worked in various fields in the medical profession, including heart transplant, telemetry/ICU/PACU, pain medicine, cardiac outpatient therapies, and post-acute/long term care. She has 2 children, in high school and college. She loves camping, outdoors, gardening, and spending time with friends.

Teena is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A & M Corpus Christi with high honors. Teena has experience working as a nurse in cardiology, psychiatry and intensive care. Teena’s goal is to provide holistic and patient centered care. In her free time Teena enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. She also enjoys cooking and dancing.

Stephen earned his Masters degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. He also holds a Batchelor’s degree in EMS management. Before becoming an Advanced Practice Nurse, he was a decorated US Army Medic, and spent many years working domestically and internationally teaching EMS and working as a Flight Nurse / Paramedic. He has a passion for teaching and enjoys seeing the light of comprehension in patients and students. He spends his spare time raising and taking care of animals on his farm.
